Andy's Sneak-Peek...kind of...

I know, I know. Y'all are thinking, "Why is Cyndee posting a Senior Pic on Halloween? Shouldn't she grant us more cuteness with her Behbeh? Well, yes, I should privilege you to see my Guy. However, this handsome guy had his Senior Pics taken awhile ago and I still haven't posted a "Sneak-Peek" on my BLOG.

In my defense...the guy has already seen most (if not all) of the photographs I've taken of him - he needed them for his yearbook, so we took 'em and whipped 'em out. Anyway, sorry, Andy, these haven't been posted yet :(. But here ya go!!! Enjoy!!!

I Know Every Mother Thinks This...

But I have the CUTEST baby in the WHOLE WORLD, don't I? Yes...I know. I'm pathetic. But seriously, my boy has the coolest personality and the greatest demeanor. Even when I went into preterm labor, he was still calm as could be, totally laid back. He was never distressed. He's gotten a little more opinionated as his days pass by, but he is still pretty easy to please :).

Anyway, like every other mother as well, I think my baby is good enough to model. Okay, maybe I wouldn't go that far, but babygap.com is holding a contest for the cutest baby and if...I mean WHEN Julius is chosen as a finalist, his photo will be one of many that others will vote on. That's where you come in ;). The baby with the most votes wins (details are on their site). Anyway, in a round-a-bout sort of way, I knew the baby girl's mom who won last year and I just knew I'd have to enter my Love. So, I thought I'd share a few of the photos I entered (I took them this evening...).

And believe me...I WILL keep you posted :).

Steen & Anne's Sneak-Peek!

What a beautifully in love couple! I had the priviledge of photographing Steen (isn't that a cool name?) and Anne's engagement photographs at the Boise Depot. It looked gloomy and had been raining hard the night before, so it was a concern to continue with our plans. However, it's God's beautiful natural softlight that can create some of the best lighting situations. It didn't hurt that this couple felt VERY comfortable in front of the camera :).

Steen and Anne, it was such a joy photographing the two of you! You are beautiful and so obviously in love! I am looking forward to photographing your wedding in May. Enjoy your Sneak-Peek!

Stieneke Sneak-Peek!

What can I say??? Jodi has been there for me through thick and thin. I was in her wedding and she in mine. We have "grown up" together since we were about 21 years old. She has one of the most incredible voices you will ever hear, a talent at massage therapy that is unmatched and an incredible way with pen and paper. She also has a very sweet husband and absolutely adorable son :). It's so fun, after "growing up" together that we get to raise our children together. I have photographed their son since he was a newborn. He is full of energy, just like my Julius. I'm sure they'll be great buddies!

Anyway, Jodi and Tom, thanks so much for letting me photograph you again this fall. I love you guys :).

Sneak-Peek for Jamie & Alan!

What a wonderful couple! Jamie contacted me in July to see if I was available for her wedding in January. I am so excited for this wedding :). Not only are Jamie and Alan and beautiful couple, inside and out, but they are having an "Asian"-themed wedding. How fun is that???

And guess what...she just emailed last night to tell me about her "birdcage veil". Have you ever seen one of those??? They are soooooo very cool and I am STOKED that I get photograph Beautiful Jamie in this veil.

Anyway, I took Jamie and Alan out with their adorable son, Josiah, last Monday. We had a blast traipsing about downtown. Be sure to watch again in January for their Wedding.

Thanks, Jamie and Alan, I am excited to get to know you even better :). Only 3 more months!!! WOOHOO!!!

Sneak Peek for Miss "M"s mom :)

What a natural beauty, this girl is!

I photographed this young lady at Ann Morrison on a Wednesday morning. She was my last model for Laurie Appel's Display at "The Lotus Tree - Sensory Integration Clinic". She is such a natural beauty. Just stunning.

Thanks for letting us use you as a model. Enjoy your Sneak-Peek!

My Awesome Nephew's Sneak-Peek!!!

Perhaps you can sense my bias in this post :D. This is my handsome nephew, Ben. I was twelve when he was born and he will graduate from Borah in just a few months... I can hardly believe this is the same little newborn I used to coddle for hours. He has grown up to be such a fine young gentleman. It is an honor to be his aunt.

Enjoy your Sneak-Peek, Benny. Love you, Guy.

A Shout-Out to Jarid Hayward!!!

How do you spell customer service??? J-A-R-I-D.

I had been showing slideshows on a projector screen when Lumuli and I decided that we would make the switch to a 50 in. Plasma. We needed the plasma set up that very night for a consultation I had scheduled the next evening. When buying the TV, Costco employee Jarid mentioned that he installs big screens on the side. I told him of my circumstances and the need to have the TV installed before my consultation the next night, he told me he was unavailable. After I resolved to the fact that I would not be able to get my Plasma set up in time, I contacted Jarid to set up an appointment for a day later in the week. It was nearly 9:00 p.m. (those of you who know me, know this is the time I usually get to work ;) ) when I contacted Jarid again to ask if he would be able to come out a little later that week and he said to me, "I actually would be able to come out this evening and work on it." So, Jarad came out to the house at 10:00 p.m. and set up our Plasma Big Screen in order to have it ready for my consultation the next day...

Today, about three weeks later, Jarid calls me to make sure my new DVD player was set up well. I told him that I hadn't been able to get around to it, but that I didn't want to bother him (he is currently attending BSU to obtain his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering). He asked if he could come out and set it up for me. WOW!!! Talk about customer service... Today, all the electrical wires are hidden and we have a beautiful Big Screen ready to present your slideshows.

Anyway, if you need your Plasma set up in your living room, or if hubby has bee promising to do it for weeks and you still have wires hanging down, call Jarid. I can't promise he'll come out at 10:00 p.m. to get it done for you, but I can promise you will not regret spending the money on this worthwhile service from him!

Tell him Cyndee with Ashki Photography sent you!

Wedding Show Was a Success!!!

Phew...I am EXHAUSTED! Lumuli (hubby), Katheryn (friend), Tiffany (fellow photographer & friend), and Doug (brother) and I spent nearly 6 hours setting up on Friday and Saturday before the show. We worked setting up until 8:00 p.m. on Friday night and we came back on Saturday at 7:00 a.m., continued to set up and didn't get done until 10:30 - the show was at 12:00 and I was still in my PJs!!! So, we sped...ahem...I mean drove home. My brother and friend finished hanging up the rest of the photos while I made myself presentable (believe me, you would NOT have wanted to see me before then :) ). Anyway, the show was a great success!!! I met a lot of fantastic brides-to-be, a wonderful videographer, several other local photographers, and many more vendors. I also got to see Samia and Craig, Christine, Jamie & Alan, Jessica and Cheryl (future couples, past couples, and recently met bride & mom). What a fun weekend, but I must say, I am pooped - pardon my french :).

If you were at the show, please leave a comment for me :) (okay, I guess you can leave a comment even if you weren't at the show ;) ). I love to read them and I'd love to know what your thoughts are. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the photos!
